Jim and Wendy met more than a decade ago while Wendy was working in a design centerin Westbury.  Their connection was immediate - and they’ve been partnering on projects ever since.

Jim is Wendy’s go-to framer. Together they bring artwork to life in the homes of Wendy’s clients.  Jim and Wendy work closely to find the perfect mats, frame, or piece of art to compliment Wendy’s interior design work.  LIPFassist her clients in custom framing new art as well as reframing existing pieces.  A picture is worth a thousand words and together Jim and Wendy speak millions.

One of the most meaningful projects they recently worked on was framing family portraits for the Payne family, who was featured on NBC’SGeorge to the Rescue

Long Island Picture Frame and Art Gallery, like many companies, was born in a basement – Jim’s dad’s basement to be exact in the late 1980s.  More than 25 years later the basement business has grown to two successful locations in Massapequa Park and Oyster Bay Long Island.

“Jim’s honesty, creativity, and his dedication to his customers is why he has been so successful and why I rely on him to turn my clients’ art work into masterpieces.  Jim and his team think outside of the box with creative and uniquesolutions.  They listen to their customers’ needs and then provide exciting options that they may never have considered.  Jim and his team provide the wow factor my clients are looking for to add a piece of art in their homes,” Wendy Lepkoff, Owner, Wendy Interiors.

About Jim Perna

Jim Perna began his career at the age of 13 selling pictures for a family friend at Roosevelt Raceway flea market and framing them after school.  After dropping out of high school, Jim decided to pursue a career in music as a drummer while also working at art galleries and frame shops, never giving up that creativity.  Music turned out to be a much tougher career than Jim had anticipated so he turned all his creativity and passion back to framing and art and hasn’t looked back.

Long Island Picture Frame and Art Gallery is not your ordinary shop.  All their employees are treated like family and provide the same treatment to their customers.  Long Island Picture Frame and Art Gallery offers a pickup and delivery service, an installation service, photo restoration, art work printing and a large selection of autographed sports, entertainment and historical items.

When Jim isn’t with his work family, he’s home with his fiancé Lisa and her son Hunter.  Jim loves great food and wine and playing poker.
